Joe Bunyan Thompson, Jr., 87, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, at Mobile Infirmary.
Mr. Thompson was born Feb. 22, 1932, to Joe Bunyan and Elizabeth (Graves) Thompson in Daviston, Ala. Graduating from Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1954 and the University of Alabama’s School of Law in 1959, he was a member and trustee of North Brewton Baptist Church for many years. He worked as an attorney in Brewton for 46 years and served asCity Attorny for Brewton and Atmore during his legal career. He also served as a Captain in the Army and National Guard and was owner of a farm with cows.
