The Escambia County (Ala.) Board of Education approved the following personnel changes at its Thursday, Feb. 21 meeting.

Resignations

Yolonda Walters, science teacher at Escambia County Alternative School, effective February 15, 2019; Holly Pettis, assistant softball coach at WS Neal High School, effective January 25, 2019; Kelli Grace, varsity cheerleader sponsor, WS Neal High School, effective January 28, 2019

Retirement

Dan Walton, HVAC/electrician specialist at Atmore Maintenance Department, effective April 1, 2019

Employment

Albert Grassia, technology technician for Technology Department, effective February 25, 2019 (Replacing Matthew Dewberry); Kelsy Massicotte, elementary teacher at Rachel Patterson Elementary School, effective January 14, 2019 (Replacing Deidre Tucker)(Amended hire date); Gary Kevin Knowles, substitute lead teacher/teacher for Dependent Care/Title I After School Program at Pollard McCall Junior High School, effective February 22, 2019; Heather Kirkland, substitute lead teacher/Teacher for Dependent Care/Title I After School Program at Pollard McCall Junior High School, effective February 22, 2019; Melanie Kent, substitute lead teacher for Dependent Care After School Program at Pollard McCall Junior High School, effective February 1, 2019
