Marion Petty Stedman, 75, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 in Century, Fla.
Mrs. Stedman was a native of Bogia, Fla. and resided in Flomaton, Ala. Since 1999. A graduate of Century High School and Miss Century High School of 1959, she was a hospice nurse and CDL truck driver who was first lady in Charleston, N.Y. Fire Department.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Jim Stickle and Dexter Truesdell officiating. Burial followed at Ray's Chapel Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Stedman is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ron Stedman of Flomaton; one son, Keith (Tabitha) Stedman of Flomaton; two daughters, Kim (Will) Carter of Century and Jamie (Marty) Pierce of Schoharie, N.Y.; two brothers, Basil (Gina) Petty of Hayden, Ala. and Joe Max Petty of Bogia, Fla.; one sister, Donna Fillmore of Flomaton; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Stedman was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Michael Rabon; her parents, Dr. W.M. and Nell Petty; and one brother, Elgia Petty.
