Phillip Wayne Godwin, 74, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 in Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Godwin was a native of Flomaton who resided in Fannie, Fla. most of his life. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he was a lifetime member of the Blue Branch Hunting Club and of the Baptist faith.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Johnson officiating. Burial followed at the Pineview Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral home directing.
Mr. Godwin is survived by two sons, Marcus (Allison) Godwin and Brandon Godwin, both of Century; one daughter, Lisa Godwin (Daniel) Hoomes of Fannie; four brothers, Frank Godwin, Jerry (Linda) Godwin and Danny (Enola) Godwin, all of Century, and Randall (Tammy) Godwin of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one sister, Barbara (Aubrey) Carroll of Ponce de Leon, Fla.; four grandchildren; and other family members.
Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Paulette Godwin; parents, Buford and Mary Frances Godwin; and one sister, Vivian Clarice Watson.
