The Alabama Department of Corrections is investigating the fatal stabbing of an inmate at William C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore on Sunday, Dec. 2, according to an ADOC news release.
Vaquerro Kinjuan Armstrong, 29, was discovered by prison officials with multiple stab wounds following an altercation with another inmate in a housing area. Armstrong was taken to the facility's infirmary for emergency treatment but died around 6:30 p.m. from the injuries.
