Fate Welch, Jr., 86, of Brewton, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, in Bay Minette, Ala.
Mr. Welch was born Feb. 20, 1932, to Fate, Sr. and Addie Presley Welch in Monroe County, Ala. He worked as a foreman for a clock factory.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Tony Richburg and Josh Odom officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Welch is survived by two sons, Jimmy Ray “Ricki” Welch of Birmingham and Terry Welch of Barnetts Crossroads, Ala.; two daughters, Darlene (Duane) Homan of Bay Minette and Charlene (Donald) Odom of Barnetts Crossroads; three brothers, James (Judy) Welch and Eugene (Bobbi) Welch, both of Bay Minette, and Edward (Linda) Welch of Monroeville, Ala.; three sisters, Lois Sanks of Bay Minette and Lilly Mae Welch and Louise (Levi) Thompson, both of Monroeville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Edna Welch; his parents; and four brothers, Manford Welch, Tom Welch, Leroy Welch and David Welch.
