John Brock McCreary, 75, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018.
Mr. McCreary was born in Mobile and had been a long-time resident of Brewton. A graduate of Conecuh County High School, he was retired from the U.S. Navy and worked as a bus driver for Greyhound for 24 years. He was also a member of both the Brewton American Legion Post and Zion Hill Baptist Church.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 16, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Blair officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mr. McCreary is survived by his wife, Annette Sims McCreary of Brewton; two daughters, Ann (Billy) McKinnon of Milton, Fla. and Allison (Tom) Dunn of Saint Marys, Ga.; one brother, Wilson McCreary of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Jane (Robert) Ellington of Evergreen; and 12 grandchildren.
Mr. McCreary was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah Wilson McCreary and Lois Brock McCreary; one son, James Brock McCreary; his childrens' mother, Jennifer May McCreary; and one grandparent, Anna Elizabeth McCreary.
