Recently United Bank had the privilege to partner with Feeding The Gulf Coast to provide relief to those affected by Hurricane Michael. As the third strongest storm in history, Hurricane Michael left behind it a wake of colossal damage.
The United Bank Charitable Foundation, and the members of the United Bank family, raised more than $1,755.00 for relief efforts.
Feeding The Gulf Coast is an organization dedicated to providing nutritious food to meet the challenges of feeding people who are hungry as a result of personal crisis or disaster.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, the organization worked closely with Feeding Florida, Florida’s Division of Emergency Services, and other organizations to assess what the highest needs in the affected area were. Since then, Feeding The Gulf Coast has provided massive amounts of water, MREs, food, and staff to impacted areas across Florida.
