Margaret Catherine Gollotte, 75 died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, in Mobile, Ala.
Mrs. Gollette was born April 25, 1943 to Willie and Vicie Lou Gregson. A native of Uriah, Ala., she had resided in Mobile for he past 53 years. Employed as assistant manager for the Meadowlake Elementary School in Mobile where she was known as 'Granny,' she was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Goodway, Ala.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Trevor Daughtery and Jerry Sanchez officiating. Burial followed at Poplar Springs Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Gollotte is survived by her husband of 57 years, Stanford W. Gollotte of Mobile; one son, Brian Keith Gollotte of Mobile; two daughters, Catherine Walker of Theodore, Ala. and Margaret Charlene Allen of Irvington, Ala.; two sisters, Eloise Lassiter of Booneville, Ala. and Doris (Duck) Phillips of Uriah; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
Mrs. Gollotte was preceded in death by one son, Stanford D'Wayne Gollotte; her parents; four brothers; and four sisters.
