Mary Ann Riley

Mary Ann Riley, 69, of Atmore, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Ala.

Mrs. Riley was a native of Wilcox County, Ala. who grew up in Atmore. A 1968 graduate of Escambia County Training School, she worked at Vanity Fair Corporation for more than 25 years. She was a member of Second Mt. Triumph Baptist Church.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Freemanville with Bishop Dashwood Riley and Rev. Michael Wilson officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.

Mrs. Riley is survived by four sons, Samuel Riley, Jr., Darrell (Sharon) Riley, Vernon Lee Riley and Quentin Riley, all of Atmore; one daughter, Alisa Annette Riley of Century; one brother, Geno (Linda) Martin of Atmore; and numerous grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.

Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Riley, Sr.; her parents, Ben Edward and Sylvia Boykin Martin; three brothers, Walter Lee “Dank” Boykin, Roy Martin and Albert Lee Haynes; two sisters, Martha Ann Martin and Alice Brown; two grandparents, Moses Boykin, Sr. and Matilda McMillan; two grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
