Willie James 'Youngblood' Williams

Willie James “Youngblood” Williams, 59, died Saturday, June 23, 2018.

Mr. Williams was born August 27, 1958 to Ozell Hines and Betty L. Williams. A 1976 graduate of Escambia County High School, he worked for Standard Furniture in Bay Minette for 40 years and was a member of Mt. Gillead Missionary Baptist Church.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 30, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Monroe Tucker officiating. Burial followed at Pierce, Montgomery-Rabb Cemetery in Freemanville with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary M. Sharp Williams of Brewton; four children, Latonia (Gordon) Brooks, Sr., Don (Latina) Richardson, Jr., Torris (Erica) Richardson and Dylan Sharp, all of Atmore; three brothers, Warnell Williams of Atmore, and Derrick (Tracey) Hines and Ozell Hines, Jr., both of Davenport, Fla.; four sisters, Beatrice Williams of Atmore, and Ozella (Lorenzo) Miller, Danielle (Murray) Love and Tara Hines, all of Davenport, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, friends and other family members.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by one son, Antonio Devon Richardson; his parents; one brother, Marvin Ries; one sister, Diane Hines; and one grandchild.
