Fireman climbs to the roof to battle fire in downtown Brewton
Billy Earl Cook sat in a chair outside his Brewton law office Monday morning with a legal pad in his lap and a pen in his hand waiting on clients he had scheduled to meet. Cook was outside because a fire at his 123 St. Joseph Ave., office Sunday afternoon had destroyed most of what he had inside.
Brewton Fire Chief Jeff Salter said firemen were first dispatched to Cook's office, which is located on the boardwalk in downtown Brewton, at 3:02 p.m. Sunday. Firemen remained on the scene until 6:45 p.m.
