An Atmore woman turned herself in at the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton Tuesday after a grand jury indicted her on two counts of willful abuse of a child, assault I and tampering with evidence.
Katherine Rene Scott, 41, 4174 Still Farm Road, was released on $200,000 bond shortly after turning herself in at the jail.
The investigation that led to the grand jury indictments was led by the Department of Human Resources and the Alabama Bureau of Investigation. No other details were released.
