Donald Hugh Simmons, 69, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Pensacola.
Mr. Simmons was a native of Atmore and former resident of Cantonment, Fla. who has resided in Flomaton, Ala. for the past 50 years. A 1968 graduate of Tate High School, he was a retired farmer and outdoorsman who attended Sardis Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 7, at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. William E. Greene officiating and Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes directing. Mr. Simmons is survived by one sister, Jeane Simmons of Flomaton; two nephews, Jordan Henry of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Tyler (Cindy) Henry of Walnut Creek, Calif.; one niece, Shauna Henry of Auburn, Ala.; and numerous cousins and other family members and friends.
