Burl Hagood Dixon, 95, of East Brewton, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018 in a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Dixon was a native and lifelong resident of the Brewton and East Brewton area. A1940 T.R. Miller High School graduate, he was a retired U.S. Navy veteran who had served during Pearl Harbor with 23 years of service. A member of the East Brewton First Baptist Church, he retired as a mail carrier with 20 years of service.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 21, at East Brewton First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Watts and Pastor Brian Dixon officiating. Burial foll...
