Atmore woman charged in case of sex abuse of her daughter, found in presence of children

Ten days after being released on $100,000 bond on sex charges involving the sexual abuse of her 13-year old daughter, 37-year old Melissa Deann Stoker is back behind bars for violating her bond conditions when Atmore police found her inside a home with minor children, which was forbidden under her bond conditions.
Melissa Deann Stoker, 196 Nathan Road, Atmore, is now being held in the Escambia County Detention Center without bond.
Stoker was one of three people arrested on multiple sex charges involving Stoker's 13-year old daughter. She was charged in July with human trafficking I, endangering the welfare of a child and an adult contributing to the delinquency or need of supervision of children.
Mary Lue Daw, 66, 227 3rd Ave., Atmore, the child's grandmother, and Charles Clarence Stacey, 87, 1777 Pieburn Circle, were previously arrested under allegations Daw set up and allowed Stacey to have sex with her granddaughter. Daw was charged with rape I, human trafficking, promoting prostitution I and enticing a child for immoral purposes. She remains in the county jail on $1 million bond.
Stacey is charged with rape I, human trafficking I, promoting prostitution I and enticing a child for immoral purposes. He was originally jailed on $1 million bond, but has since been released with stipulations that he wear a monitoring device and not have contact with minor children.
According to the original arrest reports, Stoker is accused of taking and leaving her daughter at Daw's house after knowing the child was being sexually molested.
According to court records, Stoker was released from the county jail on $100,000 bond on Nov. 20 with the condition she have no contact with any child under the age of 18. The district attorney's office filed a motion on Nov. 30 to have her bond revoked.
Court records show on Monday Atmore Police Officer John Stallworth testified he had received information that Stoker was in a residence with minor children under the age of 18. He testified he responded to the residence and found Stoker in the residence and also testified he saw children in the residence that he believed to be less than 12 years old.
Due to her bond conditions that she was not to be around children under the age of 18, and based on Stallworth's testimony, Judge Rice revoked Stoker's bond and noted she will remain in jail until further resolution of the case by the court.
