    A convicted sex offender in Escambia County, Ala., was booked into the Escambia County, Fla., jail Monday and charged with sexual battery on a woman inside her Century residence. Antonio Dywone Hartley, 28, with addresses listed in Atmore and Century was jailed on $10,000 bond. Court records show Hartley was originally charged in 2013 with rape II and sodomy II and has been charged with violating the Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).     The Flomaton Town Council will hold a public hearing at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at town hall during the town's planning commission meeting.   • Four adults charged with child neglect

    Two men and two women from Century were arrested Oct. 20 and charged with child neglect when deputies and an agent from the Department of Children and Family (DCF) observed what they described as deplorable and dangerous living conditions where the adults and six children were living. Norman Tracy Tedder, 55, and wife Tabitha Rolin Tedder, 50, lived in a camper with three children.     With Halloween coming this Sunday, local events will kick off Thursday in Brewton, Flomaton and Jay and wrap up Sunday evening.
