    An Atmore man was gunned down outside his vehicle early Tuesday morning and Atmore Police Chief Chuck Brooks said they “have a person of interest” as a suspect, but as of press time Wednesday no arrest had been made.     A Century man was killed Sept. 18 when the motorcycle he was driving hit a tree on Byrneville Road. Richard Goodwin, 42, was traveling west on Byrneville Road east of Crary Road on his 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he left the roadway to the north and collided with tree, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release.     Bryan Davis, who has served as Flomaton's police chief since Nov. 1, 2013, will be stepping down on Oct. 4 to take a law enforcement position with a new agency.     A traffic stop in Milton for an illegal turn by a Jay man Sept. 22 resulted in three felony charges involving drugs, evidence tampering and fleeing authorities.     The Escambia County (Ala.) Commission passed its fiscal year 2019-20 budget Monday that gives all county employees a 25-cents per hour raise and a one-time $500 payment that will be given around Thanksgiving. The new budget also raises the starting pay for sheriff's deputies from $15.50 per hour to $17.50 per hour. The General Fund budget shows revenues of $12,715,825 and expenditures of $12,704,217.     A Flomaton man driving a motorcycle with no helmet was issued multiple citations and charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a clear tube, that contained methamphetamine residue in his pocket.
