    A 41-year old Brewton man wanted for sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 turned himself in at the Escambia County Sheriff's Office on Aug. 24 and an additional charge of sodomy I was added for the alleged abuse of a 9-year old child. Escambia County Sheriff Heath Jackson went to social media to distribute a wanted poster for the arrest of Thomas Benjamin Davis.     Atmore police are continuing their investigation into a 6:38 p.m. Tuesday shooting on South Main Street where the alleged shooter and the alleged victims fled the scene before police arrived.     Escambia County (Ala.) Presiding Circuit Judge Jeff White said COVID protocols are being taken to hold the criminal court week Sept. 13 through 24 at the courthouse in Brewton and as of Tuesday the plans are to continue with the session. “We are monitoring it closely,” White said.
