    A Brewton man was apparently killed by a bolt of lightning Saturday afternoon while standing under a tree on the banks of Burnt Corn Creek. Gregory Shipp, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Brewton Police Department was dispatched to O'Bannon Park shorty after 4 p.m. in reference to a person being struck by lightning. Lt.     Escambia County (Ala.) Emergency Management Agency Director David Adams said people across northwest Florida and southwest Alabama should expect a lot of rain beginning late this week. Adams said the National Weather Service sent out an update concerning a tropical system in the northern Gulf of Mexico that will affect this area for the rest of the week.     Briana Stuckey will be leaving Flomaton today (Thursday) for a trip to Gillette, Wyoming, to show her talents at the High School Rodeo National Finals, scheduled for July 17-23, with a goal of adding more hardware to her rodeo trophy case, Stuckey, 17, will be a senior at Flomaton High School this year, and hopes rodeo riding will be her ticket to attend college.
