    An Atmore man wanted for shooting two people Sunday night, apparently fired at a third Monday and led law enforcement on a high speed chase that ended when the suspect crashed on Interstate 65 in Conecuh County. Scottie Dale Robinson, 28, remained in an unidentified hospital Wednesday from injuries he suffered in the crash. Sheriff Heath Jackson said skeletal remains found Dec. 26, 2020, in Conecuh County have been positively identified as the remains of Shari Saunders who had left Norfolk, Va., on Aug 4, 2018, to travel to Monroeville to visit with family members. Saunders' vehicle was found Aug. 13, 2018, on a dirt road off of Canaan Church Road in Conecuh County.     Escambia County (Ala.) School Superintendent John Knott announced his retirement as of July 31, 2021, at last Thursday's board meeting. Knott, who began his career as a special education teacher at W.S. Neal Elementary School, which he said he really loved.
