    During a special meeting Monday afternoon, the Flomaton Town Council voted to amend its previous agreement with United Bank to borrow an additional $119,750 that Mayor Dewey Bondurant, Jr., said would allow the town pay off all of its long-term debt, including the town's line of credit at AmeriFirst Bank, formerly Escambia County Bank.     A person with a big heart and a passion to help others is the way people described Flomaton resident Ida Ruth Harrell, who died Friday, Dec. 31. Harrell, 81, was a native of Owassa, Ala., and a life-long resident of the Flomaton community. She was a member of the Flomaton Lions Club, the Escambia County Health Care Authority and the D.W.     Escambia County (Ala.) residents who received a jury summons to be at the courthouse in Brewton Monday, Jan. 11, morning can disregard that summons since the January jury term has been canceled due to an increase in positive COVID-19 cases.
