    Following an administrative workshop Tuesday afternoon by the Escambia County (Ala.) Commission, County Engineer Bill Bridges was placed on paid administrative leave and position of a county engineer will be on the agenda for Monday’s county commission meeting.     At 12:20 p.m., last Thursday, the Flomaton Fire Department received a call about a brush fire between Sardine and Knowles Road in Flomaton suspected to be caused by a trash fire. The wind caused the fire to spread from behind a residence on Sardine road into the wooded area, some 65 acres in danger of burning. Approximately 10 acres were involved, according to fire personnel.     Ken Taylor is being remembered as a person who dedicated his life to helping others not only as a public servant for the residents of Escambia County (Ala.), but to all who knew him. Taylor, 73, the long-serving clerk-administrator for the county commission and circuit clerk of the county died Wednesday, Dec. 28 in Birmingham.
