Wi-Fi controlling car?

Driver thought so; arrested for possessing cocaine

A Pensacola man who stopped at a Flomaton automative repair shop to get the Wi-Fi turned off because he thought someone was controlling his car ended up in the Escambia County Detention Center on drug charges following a traffic stop by Flomaton police.

About 11:51 a.m. last Thursday (June 28), Flomaton police reported they got a call of a driver suspected of driving under the influence. The driver, identified as Bruce Moore Sharron, 55, 22 Via Deluna Drive, Pensacola, reportedly went to McDaniel's Automotive on Highway 113 shortly before noon on June 28 seeking help to get his Wi-Fi disabled on his vehicle. Flomaton police received a call of a possible driver under the influence and initiated a traffic stop on Highway 113.

Police reports state Sharron was found in possession of cocaine and arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance after being cleared by emergency medical personnel.

He was transported to the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton.
