Mother's Day lets us honor the moms we love

Sunday, May 13th is Mother's Day, the time set aside to honor all Mothers for the important roles they play.

The day trace its history back to 1905 when Anna Jarvis of Grafton, West Virginia, inspired by the death of her own mother, started a campaign to create "Mother's Day."

In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation designating Mother's Day as a national holiday to be held on the second Sunday in May.

The following is one of our favorite recipes to put into practice and celebrate your “MOM”, “your Mother figure” or that “One Significant Person” who gave you unconditional “motherly-type” love through the years: It’s called

MOM’s Homemade Happiness Recipe.

Mix together until well blended:

• 2 cups of LOVE

• 1 cup of KINDNESS

• 1 cup of LAUGHTER

• 3/ 4 cup of PATIENCE

Sprinkle in a generous amount of CARING and SHARING; then serve warmly with lots of HUGS and KISSES.
