Annie Louise Gandy Pressley

Annie Louise Gandy Pressley, 80, died Thursday, April 19, 2018.

Mrs. Pressley was born March 9, 1938, to John L. and Gilmer Gandy. She was educated at Pilgrim Community School of Mixonville, Ala. and worked for Knud Nielson Company of Evergreen, McIntyre Lumber Company of Owassa, Ala. And Georgiana Health and Rehab, where she worked until her retirement. A member of First Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Mixonville and baptized at Big Pine Level Baptist Church of Georgiana, she was married to Williard Pressley.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 28, at Christian Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Trenton Pressley officiating. Burial followed at Big Pine Level Cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Pressley is survived by five children, Debra (Eddie Charles) Jackson, Joyce (Jerry) George and Austin Pressley, all of McKenzie, Ala., and Aniece Campbell and Olean Banks Davison, both of Evergreen; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Pressley was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Henry L. Pressley, Willie Lee Mixon and Benjamin Earl Hall; four brothers, William Anderson Gandy, Grover C. Gandy, Robert Lee Gandy and Eunice Edward Gandy; three sisters, Arcquilla andy, Permiller Gandy Cunningham and Albertha Webb; and one grandchild.
