Northview students to be recognized

Northview High School is one of seven schools recognized by the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation, as it hosts this year’s Senior Academic Awards at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Booker T. Washington High School’s Theodore B.D. Bennett Auditorium.

The Northview students being recognized in the Top Five are: Triston Long, Hannah Nelson, Sarah Perritt, Destiny McKenna Watson and Tara Windham. The top student from each of the six academic disciplines are: Cody Alan Kite for Career and Technical; Bria Hardy for English; Logan Hall for Foreign Language; Fisher Logan Spence for Math; Logan Calloway for Science and Justin Cole Hassebrock for Social Studies.

The Senior Academic Awards recognize outstanding academic achievement, represented by the top five students from each school with the highest GPA’s at the end of the first semester senior year, and the top student from each of the six academic disciplines.

Students from seven Escambia County high schools and the Pensacola High School Baccalaureate Program will receive a personalized medallion and Congressional certificate.

The Escambia County Public Schools Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) direct support organization of the Escambia County School District celebrating 30 years of investing in our children’s future through scholarships, classroom Grants for Excellence and recognition of outstanding Escambia County teachers and student achievement.
