Ripley set to retire March 15

Mr. Donald Ripley has been a dedicated member of our community since 1999. His mission has always been to make Century Health and Rehabilitation Center the best Skilled Nursing Home in our area.

Ripley has devoted time and effort to expedite funding for the construction of a loaded fish pond, gazebo area with a functioning garden, and has played a key role in developing a variety of programs to reach a scope of interests.

He has transformed our skilled nursing facility into a place that has been called home for hundreds of members of our community.

In addition to the work he has put into our facility, Mr. Ripley also volunteered as a board member and Vice-President officer of the Century Area Chamber of Commerce. During his time, he held a seat on many committees for community betterment and recruited many volunteers. In 2016, the Century Area Chamber of Commerce unanimously voted Mr. Donald Ripley as Citizen of the Year. He is also a proud supporter of the Alger-Sullivan Historical Society, Century Lion’s Club, Atmore Rotary, and local schools. He has been a sponsor for Flomaton’s Sawmill Day, local Relay for Life efforts, high school yearbook advertisements, local 5k benefits, participated in disaster relief efforts, and much more of the same.

After this month, we will wish Mr. Ripley a well-deserved happy retirement. He has been a faithful patient advocate, loyal member of the community, and dedicated employer. As we await to see what changes lay ahead, at Century Health and Rehabilitation Center we will never forget the impact Mr. Ripley has left on our community.
