Juanita Delois Rothschild Austin, 54, of the McCullough community in Atmore, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 ay Mobile Infirmary.
Mrs. Austin was a native of Escambia County, Ala. who graduated from Escambia County High School in 1982. A member of Mt. Gillead Baptist Church and the Eastern Star, she had worked at Piggly Wiggly, William F. Green Veteran’s Home in Bay Minette and as a manager at Church’s Chicken in Atmore and enjoyed traveling.
A Celebration of Life was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3, at Mt. Gillead Baptist Church with Revs. Gary Bryant and Denbray Archie officiating. Burial followed at Pierce-Rabb Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Austin is survived by her daughter, Synethia Austin of McCullough; her mother, Bertha Rothschild of McCullough; one nephew, Shaughnessy Rothschild of McCullough; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Mrs. Austin was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel “John” Rothschild; and one sister, Emma Rothschild.
