Don Gavin, 75, of Jay, Fla., died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 at Santa Rosa Medical Hospital in Milton, Fla.
Mr. Gavin was born Nov. 22, 1942 to Alton and Martha Gavin. Residing in Jay for most of his life, Mr. Gavin married Sandy Davis on Dec. 3, 1963 and worked in the construction industry until he retired in 2009.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Holland Town Holiness Church in Jay. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Family Funeral Home and Cremation of Pensacola directing.
Mr. Gavin is survived by two sons, Wayne (Jamie) Gavin and Al Gavin, both of Jay; one brother, Carlos (Kathy) Gavin of Jay; two sisters, Ernestine (Bob) Stone of Jacksonville, Fla. and Geraldine Hawkins of Nashville; four grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mr. Gavin was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years; his parents; and one brother, Benny Gavin.
