Wilbert G. Walker, 82, of Atmore, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 at Atmore Nursing Center.
Mr. Walker was a native of Mobile who relocated to Atmore, where he lived most of his life. A 1955 graduate of Escambia County Training School, he was a U.S. Army veteran who retired as Sargeant from the National Guard with more than 25 years of service. He was employed by A.C. Moore Elementary School, Coca Cola Bottling Company, Samco Products and Winn Dixie.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Gaines Chapel AME Church with Rev. Amos Smith and Rev. Joseph Williams officiating. Burial...
